Jennifer Probst did it again. This is the kind of romance that leaves you with a huge smile on your face and that makes you dream….
Michael Conte and Maggie Smith. We met them in The Marriage Bargain, where we witnessed the relationship between Alexa and Nick unfold, and in The Marriage Trap we follow their exciting and engaging story. Michael needs to deal with a family emergency that can be sorted out only with him being married. They all have their own struggles to face up to and a life journey to embark on and every time I feel like I actually know each one of these characters.
This was the case also with Michael and Maggie.
Let me tell you that Michael Conte is bound to make you swoon over and over again. The banter between the two of them is amazing, to say the least.
There are some scenes that made me giggle and laugh out loud and others that are so hot that I found myself fanning my face several times. The secondary characters are well crafted and hold their own in the story.
My favorite is Mamma Conte, hands down. There are several funny scenes that involve the whole Conte family that made me giggle more than once. The bonus is that part of the story is set in Italy. Being an Italian, it makes me squee inside when novels are set in my country. Once again, Jennifer Probst wrote great dialogue. I highly recommend this book! She struggled to surface from the physical torture of his touch right above her breasts. When I finally taste you, will you remind me of earthy musk, sweet against my tongue? Because the alternate reality scared the crap out of him. A woman with a soul and grit and passion.
A woman worth more than one night. A woman worth everything. I loved The Marriage Bargain and have been curious about the other books in the series.
